FR  Born in Santiago, saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Diego Manuschevich is an active and respected musician in his homeland. Between 2002 and 2013, he composes and orchestrates pieces for various ensembles and takes part in numerous projects in jazz and improvised music, always incorporating his unique instrumental voice, at once original but greatly inspired by masters such as John Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Jackie Mclean an John Gilmore. Originally self-taught, it isn’t until 2013 that he begins formal studies at Strasbourg conservatory before entering the HEAR’s Jazz and Improvised Music Department to further pursue his development. Always in search of new opportunities to work with different musicians, he continues to develop his projects close to the jazz avant-garde.
