FR Commencer la guitare était comme respirer pour moi. Mon père en jouait du matin au soir et c’est tout naturellement qu’il m’a appris à en jouer à l’âge de 6 ans. J’ai ensuite suivi des cours au Conservatoire de Boulay avant de rejoindre celui de Metz, auprès de Romain Fargeas. Je suis entré à la HEAR à Strasbourg dès la fin de mon DEM en 2019, avec le Duo Melis.
J’ai toujours eu d’abord un rapport instinctif, inconscient avec la musique et la guitare : je jouais sans me poser de questions, seul le fait de progresser de jour en jour était et est un bonheur absolu. Mais je sais désormais que l’instinct ne suffit plus, et qu’on doit être en perpétuel questionnement sur notre jeu et la musique qu’on propose. Ce qui est fascinant et paradoxal dans la guitare classique, c’est cette éternelle recherche de la perfection tout en sachant qu’on ne l’atteindra jamais ; on peut tout au plus s’en approcher.

EN When I started playing the guitar, it seemed as natural as breathing. My father played it all day, every day, and so it was perfectly normal, when I was 6 years old, that he taught me how to play it.
I went to the Conservatory of Boulay and then to the Conservatory of Metz, studying under Romain Fargeas. In 2019, I started studying the classical guitar at HEAR in Strasbourg, with the Duo Melis.
I have always had an instinctive and subconscious relationship to the guitar and music: I played without asking myself any questions, the ultimate joy being the progress I made every day. But I know now that instinct is no longer enough, and we always have to question our playing and the music that we produce. The fascinating paradox offered by the classical guitar is the eternal quest for perfection while being perfectly aware that it’s something we’ll never actually manage to achieve but will probably get quite close to.
