Présentation des travaux de Martina Geiger‑Gerlach, artiste allemande originaire de Stuttgart, accueillie pour trois mois de résidence à la HEAR, dans le cadre du dispositif des résidences croisées de l’Eurométropole de Strasbourg.

Martina Geiger‑Gerlach est en résidence à la HEAR à Strasbourg du 07 octobre 2019 au 10 janvier 2020.

Martina Geiger-Gerlach‘s works are experiments in the applicability of the fine arts in everyday life and and about performative implementations of everyday practices. It‘s always about humans. What are the motives for our patterns of behavior, rituals and strategies? How can conventions be developed further and power structures be reevaluted or renegoiated?
Every setting or image has the task of captivating the observers attention until they, too, are confronted with the questions negotiated in work. The matter would then be distributed among numerous minds and capacities and could be thought and updated by many.
