FR <keep_it_low> est une façon de faire face à mon éco-anxiété grandissante et à mes questionnements sur la responsabilité du graphisme numérique dans le dérèglement climatique.
Aujourd’hui, la consommation énergétique d’une grande part de nos activités numériques profite d’une invisibilisation plus ou moins organisée. Il me semble primordial, en tant que graphiste, de tenter de [re]donner une matérialité à ces pratiques qui structurent encore l’Anthropocène. Ce n’est pas en traduisant des images en ASCII que nous sauverons la planète, mais donner de la visibilité à ces méthodes et techniques permet d’entretenir une démarche de sensibilisation auprès des acteurs du graphisme numérique.

EN <keep_it_low> is a way of dealing with my growing eco-anxiety and questions about the responsibility of digital graphic design in global warming.
Today, the energy consumption of a large part of our digital activities benefits from a relatively organized invisibilization. As a graphic designer, I think it is essential to try to give or restore materiality to these actions that still structure the Anthropocene. It’s not just by translating images into ASCII that we will save the planet, but giving visibility to these methods and techniques allows us to keep up an awareness-raising process with the actors of digital graphic design.
