FR Nos environnements matériels ne favorisent plus assez les relations avec la nature et nos nouveaux modes de vie nous en séparent davantage. Je travaille sur des objets hybrides qui associent matériaux artificiels et matières naturelles et dont l’objectif n’est pas d’imiter ou de remplacer le naturel, mais bien de témoigner de son absence, d’évoquer des moments de grâce et d’émerveillement que nous avons pu avoir avec la nature. Mon intention est de tisser une passerelle entre le monde naturel et le monde artificiel, d’imaginer des projections d’instants d’admiration d’un environnement, aujourd’hui occasionnellement ou très peu exploré, et qui pourtant nous est physiologiquement vital.
EN Our material environments do not focus enough on the relationship with nature, while our new lifestyles widen the gap that separates us from it. I work on hybrid objects that combine artificial and natural materials. The aim is not to imitate or replace what is natural, but rather to bear witness to its absence, to evoke moments of grace and wonder that we might have had with nature. My intention is to weave a bridge between the natural and artificial worlds, to imagine instants of admiration of an environment, hardly or rarely explored but which still remains physiologically vital to us.
