Terres, argiles, cailloux, roches, galets… extraits, triés, lavés, broyés, cuits, utilisés, cassés, fin. Ce calcaire a 240 millions d’années. Si on en trouve ici, c’est parce qu’il y avait la mer. Ce caillou est fait de tous les animaux marins, coraux et coquillages, qui se sont déposés ici et fossilisés. Aujourd’hui, on en casse des montagnes entières. Quant à la terre, une fois cuite elle devient inerte et ne peut pas revenir au sol. J’explore la manière dont la terre peut faire un cycle. Sol, vivant, prélevé, façonné, il faut en prendre soin, partager un moment, plusieurs, cassé, déposé dans le jardin, vers de terre, pluie, sol.

Soil, clay, pebbles, rocks… extracted, sorted, washed, crushed, baked, used, broken, the end. This limestone is 240 million years old. If it’s found here, it’s because here there used to be sea. The stone is made from all the marine animals, corals and shells that were deposited here and fossilized. Today, we can break off whole mountains of it. As for earth, once baked it becomes inert and cannot be returned to the soil. I’m exploring the way in which earth can make up a cycle. Soil, living, harvested, shaped, we need to care for it, share a moment, several, broken, deposited in the garden, earthworms, rain, soil.
