Design textile

Christelle Le Déan
Designer, diplômée de l’ENSAD. Elle développe aujourd’hui la maison d’édition de mobilier et de textile Le Dean Prieur. Ses objets domestiques issus de partenariat durable avec des artisans : l’atelier du brodeur Le Minor à Pont L’Abbé ou La Chaiserie Landaise, parlent de gestes, de territoires et de mythologies. Elle fonde successivement Robert Le Héros, collectif de designer 1987/1999 élu « Designer de l’année » deux ans après sa création et comptant de nombreux clients dans le domaine du luxe international. Puis elle occupe la rédaction en chef du magazine Récup Décoration avant de créer son propre studio de création en 1999 en parallèle d’une activité de photographe de presse pour des magazines d’Art de vivre. Des pièces uniques textiles et objets en céramiques signés Robert Le Héros, figurent dans les collections contemporaines du MISE à Mulhouse et au Musée de La Piscine à Roubaix.

Mirjam Spoolder
Born in the Netherlands and living since 2007 in Switzerland. Her artistic practice can be described as a tension between visual- and performing art and where the movement of the body, in relation to textiles, is at the forefront. Spoolder stu¬died sculpture at the Academy for Art and Design AKI / ArtEZ in Enschede and Stage-Management at Rotterdam Centre for Theatre RCTH in Rotterdam, both in the Netherlands. At the Academy of Art and Design FHNW / HGK in Basel, she earned her Master in Fine Arts with the emphasis in Perfor¬mance Art. She has travelled widely to develop and expand her artistic practice. Her focus is on researching different textiles and materials that addresses historical and contemporary issues around the body with an interdisciplinary approach. She has worked with established dance- and theatre companies in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany and her work has been exhibited by numerous national and international cultural institutions and different art spaces. In 2013, she was awarded by Atelier Mondial / Pro Helvetia Swiss Arts Council with a grand to travel six months to India. In 2014, she was selected to participate in performances from Marina Abramović and Joan Jonas, curated by Klaus Biesenbach and Hans-Ulrich Obrist during Art Basel. She works as a teacher Design textile at La HEAR in Mulhouse since 2016.
