Semper Gottfried, L’art textile
Le revêtement nous habite, il recouvre, protège, habille, rythme un espace, lui offre une identité. À travers ce projet, j’ai voulu penser le revêtement comme un objet sensible. Entre motifs et matières, forme et fonction. Le projet valorise une rencontre entre le textile et la céramique, un mix de deux héritages ancrés sur les terres portugaises, mes origines.
Un jeu de contradiction entre souplesse et rigidité, là où deux matériaux, au premier abord opposés, viennent se compléter par leurs qualités, aussi bien formelles que fonctionnelles.

The covering inhabits us, it covers, protects, clothes, gives energy to a space, offers an identity. With this project I wanted to consider the covering as a sensitive object. Between patterns and materials, form and function. The project highlights the bond between textile and ceramics, a mix of two heritages, based on Portugal, the land of my origins.
A game of contrasts between flexibility and rigidity, where two materials initially appear to be opposites, but then come to complement each other through their twin formal and functional qualities.
