FR « L’Alsace fut une des toutes premières régions d’Europe à avoir des relations directes avec le Japon, […] dès 1863, des commerçants d’Osaka, prirent contact avec l’industrie textile alsacienne, et particulièrement mulhousienne, […] pour faire imprimer […] des tissus de laine à motifs japonais pour le marché japonais. » Impression du soleil levant 150 ans de relations Alsace-Japon, le MISE Mulhouse. J’ai analysé la spécificité du geste artisanal à travers mes expériences personnelles notamment mon apprentissage du savoir-faire japonais : le Shibori. Dans mon projet, entre recherche anthropologique sur la relation Alsace-Japon et recherche technique au sein d’un syncrétisme de savoir-faire de ces deux territoires, j’ai exploré différents processus de production textile.

MISE Mulhouse. I analyzed the specific features of artisanal work through my own personal experiences, in particular my knowledge of the Japanese technique of Shibori. In my project, between anthropological research on the relations between Alsace and Japan and technical research within a syncretism of Alsatian and Japanese expertise, I explored a range of textile production processes.
