FR Par l’usage d’outils que j’emprunte à divers domaines tels que la peinture, la sculpture, les technologies numériques ou même l’archéologie, j’appréhende ma pratique du design avec la volonté de redonner du sensible à des objets tombés dans la fadeur de leur quotidien. En re-manifestant leurs spécificités, je tâche de les extraire d’un anonymat auquel ils n’étaient pas prédestinés. Face à la langueur que j’éprouve devant les objets sériels et standards, embourbés dans leur banalité, j’essaie enfin de leur retrouver une narration, un récit oublié.
Quand les artefacts assument leur singularité, ils n’en deviennent que plus honnêtes.
EN I borrow tools from various fields such as painting, sculpture, digital technologies and even archeology,
to incorporate in my design work the desire to restore sensitivity to objects which routine has condemned to ordinariness. What I have tried to do is to take them out of an anonymity which they were not meant for, by re-emphasising what makes them stand out. Faced with the monotonous feeling I get when faced with serial standard objects, bogged down in their banality, I try to fit them with a new narrative, a forgotten story.
When artifacts assume their singularity, they can only become more honest.
