Fr « De tous les instruments, la harpe est pour moi le plus élémental. Dans l’Antiquité, elle possédait une valeur céleste, son socle représentant la terre, sa console le ciel et ses cordes formant le lien qui les unit. Sa résonance ininterrompue, se mêlant au silence qui lui succède, s’éparpille tels des chuchotements angéliques qui enchantent sa musique. La beauté de la harpe a toujours touché l’âme de ses spectateurs et suscité l’admiration de ceux qui n’en imaginaient pas l’existence. C’est pour cette raison que la harpe mérite selon moi d’être révélée au grand jour car si le monde de la musique connaît bien son existence, la majorité en ignore tout. Et lorsqu’elle la découvre, une barrière sociale semble la paralyser dans une appartenance bourgeoise qui n’est plus la sienne. Rendre la harpe populaire, et par son utilisation prôner la profondeur de la musique et de sa sensibilité, est pour moi un objectif qui donne tout son sens à mon activité musicale et me fait vivre. »
En “The harp is, for me, the most elemental of all the instruments. For the ancients, it had a celestial value, its foot representing the earth, its soundboard the sky, and its strings the link uniting them. Its uninterrupted resonance lingers across the silence that follows it, like whispers of angels bringing magic to its music. The beauty of the harp has always touched the soul of its audience and aroused the admiration of those who did not know it existed. This, to me, is why the harp deserves to be brought more out into the open, for while the musical world is fully familiar with it, the majority of people are hardly aware of its existence. And when people are exposed to the harp, there seems to be a social barrier which confines it to a bourgeois space, which is not its reality. My aim is to open the harp up to a broader audience, to showcase the depth of its music and its sensitivity and it is this that gives meaning and life to my musical activity.”
